The Judicial Lynching of Bradley Manning

The military trial of Bradley Manning is a judicial lynching. The government has effectively muzzled the defense team. The Army private first class is not permitted to argue that he had a moral and legal obligation under international law to make public the war crimes he uncovered.
 Chris Hedges

What kind of society do we live in? Deny our guilt, hide our military crimes, protect the guilty and operate Kangaroo courts to punish those who speak the truth. Inculcate in the public the belief that "they hate us for our freedom" rather than for the crimes our governments and its military committed and continue to commit.
Bradley Manning was a young man with a conscience when he turned over files and videos of murderous crimes  to WikiLeaks. Aiding the enemy? What a farce; how many civilians in these regions were not already aware of our murderous acts? The real reason is that the Government does not want the public in America and its allies to know what this information reveals. Keep the public uninformed, undisturbed and patriotic to the cause, whatever it might be.
Read here what Chris Hedges -  much hated and vilified by Fox News and the Tea Baggers - has to say.
